Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre, Italy

I thought I would take advantage of the wild flowers growing out of the cliffs in Riomaggiore, as the storm clouds grew above the town. It ‘s quite impressive how the “cliff towns” of Cinque Terre” are carved out of the sides of the mountain that ends in the Ligurian Sea. All the homes and businesses are painted in different pastel colors. A very magical place that has enjoyed tourist for hundreds of years. For photographers and artist, it’s a unique and special wonderland.

The Love Of Italy- Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre

Daily Photo:

Riomaggiore is one of 5 Cinque Terre cliff towns located on the Ligurian Sea in Italy. I had spent the day scoping out possible evening shot locations and grabbed this one mid-day while a storm was brewing. I believe Cinque Terre is one of the most exciting places to come in Italy. It’s got a lot to offer everyone. Easy train stops at each town, great restaurants, great hiking, water activities, you name it. I spoke to many Americans who come to this area and spend a week just hiking along the Ligurian cliffs between each of the villages. Great part they say is, anytime you want to stop, just go into the next village and catch the train that seems to run evey 20 minutes. We spent 3 days here and it definitely wasn’t enough time.

Panificio Rosi Bakery-Riomaggiore,Italy

The colorful pastel cliff towns of Cinque Terre, Italy are an incredible find and one of the most visited destinations in Italy. FiveĀ  cliff towns accessible by train along the Ligurian Sea are easy to navigate and many come to enjoy the hiking along trails between the towns. This little bakery, one of the most picturesque I found is located higher on the hill in Riomaggiore. I was so into photographing this bakery that I forgot to partake of the pastries.
