“Fingers From Heaven”- Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia

Daily Photo:

As we were leaving Blackwater Falls, West Virgina high in the Allegheny Mountains in central eastern part of the state, this vista opened up between the trees.  Most of the area was covered over with vegetation, so you couldn’t peer out over the edge to see the mountains.  I knew I didn’t have much time, so I pulled off the road and started looking for an opening. I set the tripod up in this narrow opening overlooking the mountains to capture “heaven’s light” shining through the clouds for a very brief moment. The perfect light never waits and you just have to be lucky enough and in the right place to grab the moment. Blackwater Falls I’ll save for tomorrow.
